Bio
Erica is a tenor and bass trombonist. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in performance at Middle Tennessee State University School of Music in Murfreesboro, TN. At MTSU, she studies with Dr. David Loucky. She is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant at MTSU. She teaches a Low Brass Techniques class, trombone lessons, and coaches a Freshman trombone chamber ensemble.
Before MTSU, she attended The University of Southern Mississippi School of Music in Hattiesburg, MS. There, she studied with Dr. Ben McIlwain and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA 2020).
Erica has attended many trombone summer music festivals over the years. She has participated at the Southeast Trombone Symposium, the Georgia Trombone Summit, and was a Student Worker at the International Trombone Festival Youth Workshop in 2019.
Erica is a native of Decatur, MS. Besides trombone, she loves to take nature photography and do photography edits. She also loves to cook, take nature walks, and spend time with friends and family.
